Vienna

Woohoo!!! 

With this sound in my mind I left bus in Vienna. I went back to the best city in the world. I thought that Vienna is the best city in the world since my 1st trip to Europe last summer. And I had a lot of expectations this time. So, let's look what Vienna prepared for me this time.

After the bus I caught tram to CouchSurfer's place. As you remember, I had very fast search for CS because of changes in my route. I even wrote on "Emergency couch" page and 6 strangers welcomed me. Guys, please, NEVER write on such pages. Only in the case of real emergency. I chose 2 less strange guys and then decided to go to Indian one. In any case, thanks him for his fast answer and hospitality. Thanks for Indian food, nice talks and little night excursion. 

But sorry, you was too strange for me. Extremely calm and mysterious (I'm not sure that it is correct to use this word for man but I don't now how to say better:))) I was quite scared to sleep in one room with him and all the more stay there for several days wasting time in such beautiful city. Anyway I decided to stay until morning. When I woke up I back my clothes fast and said bye-bye to my host. I'd already found new host "not far from" that place. I walked "not far from" for 40 minutes with 20 kg backpack. I imagined my first morning in Vienna in another way. 

So, next CouchSurfer was extremely polite French man. Really extremely. Even too extremely. And one more detail. I didn't read his profile carefully. So only in the end of the 1st evening I notices that he is 40 years old. 

Please, never write to Emergency couch, use personal requests first. And if you really need couch very fast and find host in this way, choose him/her veeeeery carefully.  

In any case, I like Vienna too much and nothing couldn't make significant influence on my mood. But for sure, I expected other emotions. 

After my morning trainings with my backpack I went with Nikolas (my 2nd host in Vienna) to Saturday market. It is amazing place divided in 2 parts: old stuff and national food. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures from the beginning, therefore I have only few.

There were really a lot of food with huge variety of fruits, vegetables, sweets, spices, etc from all over the world. And there were also many national fast-foods in which you can buy meals cooked with those products. Nikolas paid really a lot of attention from which exactly country that products were and finally didn't buy anything because in supermarkets prices are lower. And I still think that in my native town you can buy the best foods and vegetables:)

And than we had a little walk to the center.

Aaaand food excursion again. "Luxury" food-store in the center of Vienna.

Nice little park. You can take those red seats for free and relax, eat your lunch, sunbathe or chat with your friends.

Inside the modern museum's yard. You can also take any seat (yes, those strange blue plastic staff are seats:)) and do everything you want. You can buy food&drinks there or bring something with you. You also can drink alcohol there (but usually in the day people read books, relax or eat something there and at night they listen music, chat and drink alcohol).

It is quite crowded place during the whole day and especially at night.

Vienna. Great. Beautiful. Wonderful.

On the Rathausplatz took place Music and film festival. It is from 29th of June till 1st of September. Every evening you can watch there opera, music concerts or films sitting on the chairs or on the benches. It is very crowded place especially on the weekends and when it is something famous shown. Next to it you can find food court with huge variety of food and drinks from various countries.

In my opinion it is very nice that government pay attention to such cultural events for people. Each evening you can choose where you would like to go easily. And you don't need a lot of money. You can buy drinks and snacks and go to the one of those places with free sitting places and communicate with your friends or even make new friends. You can visit one of the film festivals also for free. You can jog or ride bike in the center among main sightseeing places. You have really huge variety of opportunities! And despite that it isn't forbidden to drink alcohol in public places I didn't mentioned a lot of really very drunk people.

Parliament. I was surprised that in Vienna, in the capital of Austria, in so popular with tourist city not many buildings are lightened very good. May be only Parliament and Opera. On other you can find only one or two light-spots. Or don't lights at all. As for me it is strange. I expected to see Vienna dressed in beautiful lights. But at night it isn't so wonderful as I thought...:(

Very tired and fully exhausted after so long and full of impressions day I agreed with Nikolas to take underground to get home. One more nice and moder (and also expensive: 2 EUR for one ticket) European underground. By the way, tram ticket costs the same price.

Second day was finished and I fool of emotions. Last night I've seen Vienna at night first time in my life. When I was there last summer with my sweetheart I fall in love in Vienna and I wished to visit one more time. But I couldn't imagine that it will happen so fast! I really only dreamed about it but thought that it is almost impossible at least next several years  And only less then after one year I am here again.  On the one hand I was extremely happy. On the other hand didn't feel my self so lonely somewhere in other cities. When I finally got chances to walk alone it was really amazing feeling. I felt like ghost follows me everywhere. At the same time it was the emptiest city in the world. Because it was without the best man in the world. There were crazy emotions. And I also can say that they very the strongest during my whole trip. But mostly they were very warm and nice. I think that I caught the spirit of Vienna. And it was my goal there. So,achieved it:)

Third day started with bikes:) I wished to go with my own but Nikolas said that he'd never tried to ride bike in Vienna and he would like to join me. He was so exited that he will go to ride bike that I cannot say him "no":))) So suggested to ride bikes together for a while and then I will go for a walk to Schonbrunn. I don't know why we rode to the suburbia. For sure, it is also nice. But I wasting time in Vienna suburbias wasn't in my plans. By the way, it is very cheap to rent a bike in Vienna. You need your credit card for registration and pay 1 EUR from it. Than if you take bike for less that 1 hour it is free. Second hour costs 1 EUR, third - 2 EUR, etc. So, if you take bike even 10 times during the day but less than for 1 hour you will not pay for it at all! It is really great service and you must try it in Vienna!

And now, Schonbrunn. Really amazing palace and park. In the sunny day it is wonderful place and wouldn't like to leave it. Sky, flowers, nice architecture and nature. Perfect.

Last summer we were there but only inside the palace. And considering that we saw that there are also big nice park I decided that I should went back and explore as much as it possible!:)

 .Last year our excursion started not far from this place. We walked there and I remember those first "wow!!!" feelings. This year I had chance relax on the grass and remember that amazing moment. It is really difficult explain my emotions. Deja vu? May be. Ghost which was everywhere with me? May be. Feeling that I am in the best city in the world? Sure. Feeling that it is my own achievement that I am again in Vienna? Sure. Missing for a best man in the world? Sure.

And now only try to mix all of these feelings in your mind. Try to imagine what I really felt in that moment.

And for sure, I really proud that this trip happened with me and that it is really my own big achievement. I am young, I am red-haired and beautiful, I am full of energy and enough brave. I am looking outside that fucking soviet box. I earn money by my self and spent them in the best possible way. I planed this trip and made my dream true. YES, I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Recently I understood that Belvedere is also not far from the center. And I rode my bike to that charming place. This palace is like from fairy tales...

I was there on the sunset there, as well as last year. My imagination tried to paint a kiss for me from my the-best-man's-in-the-world ghost. Like last year. At the same place.

One more expensive gift for my stomach. Mozart caffee. For those price I expected that these cake and coffee must be tasty. I was wrong. They were extremely wonderful and more than perfect!!!

At that night I went back to Rathausplatz to listen music but there were nothing special, only boring play which were not many people liked, because there were a lot of empty seats. I spent there, may be, 15 minutes and went back to CouchSurfers apartment to pack my backpack and to find next host in next point on my route. I was going to Salzburg next morning and to Munich after it.

I don't think that it is necessary to make final conclusion about Vienna. I said everything I want during this review. I have to thanks to my CouchSurfers, especially to Nikolas for their hospitality and attention because without them I had much more difficulties in Vienna. But sorry, I said it only because I have to do this. My thanks are not very honest.

May be in Vienna something like my own travel physiological crisis happened. But in any case, I enjoyed Vienna again! My impressions were so strong that it was impossible to do something bad with them. It is amazing city with special spirit for me. I so thankful that I had opportunity to visit Vienna again!
